Fast food chains just love deals. Can’t get enough of ’em. They really, really want to give you one dollar fries and buy-one-get-one tenders and whatever else they can convince you to buy at a slightly steeper discount. But of late, those discounts come with a cost of some kind—downloading an app, signing up for emails, slowly tapping a vial of blood from your arm and handing it over along with a single strand of your hair, getting a tattoo, naming your child for the brand. That sort of thing. As such, the deal Domino’s is offering this week is almost novel: You can get any “menu-priced” pizza (read: not discounted) for half off when ordering online (h/t Chew Boom).
The catch is... that there is no catch. Seriously. You can sign out as a guest. You don’t have to sign up for a rewards program. There’s no app. There’s no club. There’s no secret handshake, there’s just half-off pizza ordered online (website or dreaded app), now through Sunday, December 2.
What else do you want? That’s the actual end of the story. I guess I should add that it’s “participating locations,” as is usually the case with franchises. What else can I add... Ah, I had a nice Thanksgiving! Made green bean casserole with cream of celery instead of cream of mushroom, at the suggestion of a Takeout commenter! It’s super snowy in Chicago. It sucks a little but is also very pretty. There’s a John Legend holiday special on tomorrow night, that looks festive. Is it lunchtime yet? I could go for some pizza.
