UTZ has a pretty wide variety of BBQ chips, between their regulars and the kettle varieties. BBQ, Honey BBQ, Southern Sweet Heat BBQ, and Carolina Style are the “regular” chips. Kettle varieties are Maui BBQ, Smokin’ Sweet, Smokin’ Sweet BBQ (listing from the website, the bags look different but have the same product Read more

I live in a historic town so our fast food/chain options are woefully behind the times. It took a new shopping plaza (located in technically the next “township” over but you’d never notice without the signs) for us to get a Taco Bell and Panera, that was 5 years ago. When I learned Jersey Mike’s was going in to the vac Read more

I’ve never thought of using it as a dipping sauce, but they’re good all the same. It’s called “chicken-moo (radish)”, which is a dead simple pickle with just salt, sugar, and vinegar that you get at every single fried chicken place in Korea. Read more

Thank you for the breakdown (not for me but for others!) because it midly annoys me whenever I see “Korean BBQ” flavor and it inexplicably has sriracha or tamarind. It’s become a nebulous shorthand for vaguely soy sauce or gochujang-esque flavoring that big American companies are pushing. Nothing new I suppose. It’s Read more

The one that almost everyone sleeps on at KBBQ is the sesame oil with salt. I find that to be the best complement to non-marinated meat. Read more

I’ve preferred Kyo-chon to Bonchon, but both are good for that style. bb.Q is also good, although it’s more of a delicate batter, but still holds up to delivery. Read more

Food poisoning CAN happen with Sun Tea! We once forgot our tea was outside and didn’t bring it in until after dark; around 10:00pm. I should have known better (I took a Food Manager Safety Course for a previous job) but I hated to throw it away. We drank some the next day and we have never in our lives been so sick. Read more

Shit, you think the gumballs sucked? Try the stick gum they used to include with packs of baseball cards up until roughly the late '80s. Hard as concrete and just as tasty. They finally came to their senses and just stopped including it. Read more

As a grossly unpopular adult opinion, I LOVE bubblegum ice cream. Read more

What about that plastic cone that had a gumball at the bottom? Surely that’s still doing well? (I forget what they were called but loved the shitty gumball at the bottom) Read more

This is sad until you remember the lack of flavor and consistency of those “gumballs” Read more

Chewing gum is made of plastic. You can still find wads of used chewing gum stuck to sidewalks and the undersides of dining tables after several decades of being exposed to the elements. It’s nasty stuff.

Okay, I am late to this article and missed the $1.09 burrito but the bean burritos in my area are apparently $1.79.  BUT THIS MAKE IT SUPREME OPTION?!??!  I had no idea that this was an option.  I always order a burrito supreme with no beef.  I have TB probably once a month (I usually eat my feelings on a bad work Read more

Worth the trouble? Just pay for it and move on. You can use the change in your cupholder to compensate for the coins you save by this. Only works on the bean burrito?  Read more

A small franchisee that isn’t part of the app listing. Might be a volume requirement from the umbrella company or the franchisee might have to pay a fee or buy equipment to be part of the online ordering system that they haven’t. My parents live near a fairly small town outside of a metro area and only the McDonald’s Read more

I have actually made this copycat recipe, and it’s pretty close. Now that I think about it, I probably need to make it again some time: https://topsecretrecipes.com/wendys-hot-chili-seasoning-copycat-recipe.html Read more

TIL that Wendy’s actually makes their chili in each location rather than it arriving pre-made! I was wondering how there’d be any difference between the two, and was both flabbergasted and psyched to learn the chili was made in-house -- thanks! Read more

If you find there isn’t enough meat in the restaurant serving of chili, just order a plain Jr Burger along with it. Cut up or break up the patty, add it to the chili and have the bun as a side piece of bread for dipping. Adds about $1.50 or so to the price of the chili but worth it. Read more
