Sadly, all the hunters I know donate their kills to local food banks, so I have to buy venison like a sucker. I suppose I could learn to hunt myself (phrasing), just add it to the list of all the other things I need to learn.

Always appreciate a good venison recipe! I agree that you can’t just treat it like beef, but I find it odd that people assume that you could/should. With lamb or goat we wouldn’t treat it the same as beef and we wouldn’t expect it to have the same flavor. Venison and other wild game deserve the same level of Read more
