I didn’t know this was a thing (well known restaurants selling under another name) until I saw a TikTok on it. Just makes me want to avoid the mediocre to poor brand name, usually national, restaurants even more.  I prefer to support local family or new restaurants. Read more

I hope DoorDash and GrubHub follow UberEats. In addition to the same menu, ghost kitchens also use the same food photos. That’s how I noticed them in the first place. Now my rule for ordering is that the restaurant has to have a Yelp page. Even the smallest hole in the wall Mom and Pop stores have a Yelp page, even if Read more

I got scammed once at what I thought was a new burger place turned out to be a Dennys or IHOP. Now, if it is a new place and I order from it, I reverse check the address on Google to see if something else is there instead. Fooled me once... Read more

I’ve had good and bad experiences with ghost kitchen orders. They’re not a scam, but the execution is tough. So if you’re expecting something from a favorite restaurant, you probably won’t get the same quality or taste. But on the flip side, I’ve had a great meal from a seller running out of a restaurant (both mom and Read more

My favorite Reese’s seasonal product is the Reester Bunny! It clearly is a different, better quality of chocolate than is used for “regular” Reese’s cups. And the ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is just about perfect.

I’m a Reese’s Christmas Trees fan. The whole candy has a taller, stronger profile and that makes it sturdier than the pumpkins and eggs, which many times look like someone sat on them. Hearts run a close 2nd.

Make sure you’re getting the full-size peanut butter eggs, not the snack size. I mean, the snack size is fine, but the ratios are off.  Read more

Traditional egg is the best Reese’s.  Not just for Easter.  Period.  Perfect proportion of chocolate to filling with the proper texture in a not fussy or crumbly shape.  Tops all others:  cups, minis, pieces, trees.  The.  Best.  Period. Read more
