This report takes a low point of the pandemic into account, which might explain Starbucks’ place in the rankings. Per the report (emphasis mine): “The reality created by the pandemic has undeniably played further into the hands of Starbucks’ more affordable rivals, including Dunkin’ and McDonald’s, respectively Read more

Whataburger might be higher on the list next year, if it keeps up its current pace. The report indicated Whataburger is “seeing its largest growth in its 70+ year history.” And I know what you mean about those packed In-N-Out locations! My only guess is that a lot of that traffic might be tourist-based (sort of a Read more

I can confirm these juices do still exist—my niece had one this weekend! I hadn’t considered the fact that heavier items might squish the rest of the candies in the bag. When we went to the house handing out full-size cans of soda, we always drank it immediately so it never came up. Read more

They now have all-day breakfast in the form of pastries only, not hot sandwiches (the latter of which they only serve until 11am). Unclear whether they’lll start serving those items all day Read more

It’s small but mighty! The pastry is pretty thick, and the pie filling and jam inside are spread on thick too. I ate this well before noon and didn’t need any snacks before dinnertime. Read more

I needed every bit of that 8 minutes to quickly thaw the frozen apple mustard I had forgotten to remove from the freezer! (Obviously, at the park I imagine they’ll have ultra-fast toaster ovens, like the ones at Starbucks.) As far as texture, I think it *would* have had crunch if I had air fried it, or put it on a Read more

I know what you mean! These were probably the most “acquired taste” of any of the hard seltzers I’ve tried so far. I bet you’re right about the cocktail idea—lately I’ve been enjoying a mix of gin, topo chico, and lime juice, and using a lime Spindrift Spiked might cut the list of ingredients from three down to two.  Read more
